I started knitting this scarf when I was away at the Knitting weekend in Tananger. I was pretty happy with it and I new I had to write down what I did so I would not forget, and then a new pattern saw the light of day
Hole in hole scarf, pattern available in English and Norwegian. If you have a question, comment or come across an error please let me know!
Norsk versjon er rettet 14 nov 2009!

Pattern: hole in hole scarf
Needles: 6 mm
Yarn: 3 balls of Schachenmayr Nomotta Alpaka Fashion.

I have also finished a dropstitch scarf in this pattern over 30 stitches.

A little while ago I got some Austermann fancy sox. The yarn was pretty cool in a ball…but not very nice to knit up because it switched gauge all the time, and it was a little too acrylic for my taste. I had no idea what to do wit this yarn when I tried it out. I new I ad to get rid of it and that it ad to be a simple project. Just to make thing exciting I decided to use my own pattern for the Tananger Rosa.
I know the finished scarf looks horrible and I myself will not wear it. But hey I used the yarn

My kids needed some new neckwarmers, so I hade to knit up a few for them. The pattern is my own and the yarn is scrap alpaca and lambswool/angora yarn.

and this is the kind of pictures you get when you try to take good pics of a 1,5 year old that does not want to cooperate!

Well it is done, it turned out as a cuddle-dress/tunic for my daughetr to wear around the house. She was very clear on the fact that she needed this to have as a cuddle-dress, and nothing I said could talk her out of it.

This idea came to me at the knitting-get-together last weekend. A few people wanted me to write up the pattern for it. I am not hard to ask
The pattern is for sale this time around.
Stats on the pattern: knitted on 3 and 3,5 mm needles and the yarn is sockweight.
This pattern costs 5$ and you can get it by clicking on this button.

I started out with the idea to make a cd-spindle (pdf-file)… but that plan fell through because I couldnt get the rubberring to fit properly. So I decided to do one in polymerclay…that didnt work out like I hoped either. After some thinking back and forth I got the idea to use a jamjar-lid with just a pencil as the “stem”. I found out that it was hard to get the hole for the stem in centre of the lid so that idea was placed aside as well. One evening I was baking and I was using vanillasugar, actually I was using up what was left in the box. Standing there with the plastic-lid in my hands I got the idea that this lid might be what would work out nicely for and easy homemade dropspindle.
I dug out some glue, beads, a hook and a pencil and just started putting the whole thing together. After some tweaking and trying I had a supercheap homemade dropspindle that was fully funcional!

Another hat from Handspun done. My own pattern that I will be posting here in one of the next few days.

I made another Beate hat for my daughter from my own pattern.

Stats:
Pattern: Beate hat
Yarn: Handspun worsted weight
hook: 5 mm.
