Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember the orange slices I had dried? I hade a plan with them… I have these things to put oranges with cloves in, but the oranges dont last long when they are hung like that. After a week or so they get a mooshy and start to smell. So I now made ny own dry sliced orange to have in the holders. I really liked how they turned out, I am noting this idea for next year as well! We have decorated the tree today too, and I have gotten alot of the food preparations done. Now I feel that I am on top of the whole situation…I was not there yesterday…then I felt waaaay behind.

We are really preparing for Christmas now, All the docorating is done except the tree. We took the tree indoors today and it is standing in our hall “defrosting” *lol* We have a tradition of decorating the tree on the 23rd in my family. This year I am keeping it simple decorwise in the house. All the bright and not so pretty decorations have either been thrown away or left in its box. I have been shopping some new stuff like these ormnaments that is hanging in my window. The were 50% off and that gave me the excuse to get them. I love the way they look and that the ornament in it self is so decorative and simple.

The decorated window is this one (click here to see the bigger version). Normally it only contains the black pictureframes. I dont like christmascurtains, so I use my regular ones. Outside the windows you can see that Jack Frost have been doing his thing.
There is no christmas in my house without some traditional cookies. We have made Krumkaker (dont know the english word). It is dough fried flat and the made into cones. We eat them with a filling of whipped cream and strawberry jam. Yummie!

We have also baked Kakemenn (cookiemen) and my daughter has painted them with food-dye.

I have made Lauras Caramel toffee, and Maritas Cinnamon and sugarcoated almonds.
We still have to make Sara Bernard cookies and Gingerbread. We have to have a real cake as well on Christmas eve, THis year I plan on Making After Eight cake. After Eight is one of my favorite chocolates, and when I found a cake made with it…I just have to try it.
I finished up the last two gidts that goes under the tree this year. My daughters socks and my FILs hat.
