Last weekend we spent in Lillehammer, we stayed in a vacationappartment that Mr.Ts job has there. It was actually in the middle of the Skislope in Hafjell. Lillehammer was the place where the VinterOlympics in 1994 took place. It is a wonderful place with lots of interesting stuff. I will blog various pics I took in the days to come.

The wiew from the appartment was this

We spent friday walking around in the centre of  Lillehammer and I stopped by Spinnvilt to pick up some Spinningsupplies :) I got a swift to put on top of my wheel, an additional Lazy kate with two ordinary spools, a big flyer and 2 big spools, a niddy noddy, a jenkins turkish spindle, acid dyes and of  course some fiber (Corriedale, 64 merino and BFL).

I also bought myself some supercool boots! I have large feet and thick calves so finding some boots that fit is a big problem. But now I have these supercool new boots that I love!

And I also got 4 balls of the new sockyarn from DSA, Sterk.

Finally I can show

My mom had her 60th birthday 2 days ago, and I had gotten her the PERFECT gift! My mom has everything she needs and some more so it is hard to find a perfect gift for her. But I found it! My mom collects vintage Jesus pictures, and when we were kids she read several different prayers for us before we went to bed.  I found some prints with vintage pictures and prayers printed on homemadepaper in a shop near by, and I bough some nice with frames and here is the result. I havent blogged them before because she reads my blog and I wanted this to be a surprice and I cant wait to see her reaction!!!

Yellow-leg

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Last sunday we spent a few hours in the forest picking mushrooms, Yellowleg to be exact.

We had the kids with us, and it is still early for the season for this mushroom so we didnt find as much as I had hoped too find. We will have to take a hike in the forest again in a couple of weeks without the kids to see if we can find even more yellow-leg. We dry the mushrooms and keep them in a jar so we can use them all winter and spring.
