I have started on the next gifts in line for me to make this year. Remeber the bad Odessa I made for my brother? Well…I came to the conclusion that I needed to make him a new one. So I got to it, with Charcoal Smart yarn this time.

I also started on a new hat for my FIL. I made him a hat some years ago and he has worn it alot. Then I made him a new one for his birthday and he wears it alot, so we dicided I had to make him another so he had two he could shift on wearing. This is in armygreen Smartyarn.

The pattern is my own and is this
Oh yeah…I got a LYS just a couple of minutes from where I live! Finally someone saw that there was need for a shop that sold yarn here! They are selling yarns from Sandnesgarn and are planning on taking in yarn from Du store alpakka. Now I dont have to go into town everytime I need instant yarnifaction.

Hey my little cha-cha-cha! I just got the stitch markers and the necklace in the mail! I (we) love them!!!
Allura won’t take hers off
She can’t say Norwegian so I just told her they came from the Netherlands…which gave me a laugh…but it made me laugh even harder when she repeated…NEVERLAND? LOL!!! She thinks Peter Pan sent her a necklace!!! LOL, you gotta love kids
It is just so cool to actually be getting mail from CLEAR ACROSS the OCEAN and almost my entire country! Pretty Darn Cool!
Now, you gotta tell me what I can send you next

Haha I just made-up a hat for my hubby in pretty much the same design – you know what they’re aiming for though? Old military hats. if you ever pass by one of those outlets, you’ll see.
I like the Smart hat but cannot find a gauge for the pattern. Please tell me what that is. Thank you
Susan Connolly
The yarn used in the pattern has a gauge of 22 stitches x 4 inches on 3,5 mm needles
